Lakeshore Drive Genre: Period Drama Lakeshore Drive takes place in a wealthy Chicago suburb in the 1960s. A coming of age story about a boy with a mentally disturbed but seductive mother and an aggressive father involved in legal and illegal activities. The story shows how the young boy’s high school girlfriend, his first love, and their tumultuous sexual relationship mirrors his parents and how he has to become tough to survive them.
